Hope strips hope from students…

In the November 9th issue of The Breeze Justin Keller reports about the changing of Chaffey College’s policy on withdrawing with a “W” from the class. Seems a letter grade of W is now going to be treated with the same discontent and disrespect as an F.

This dastardly and despicable maneuver is brought to you from the cushy office of Laura Hope, Interim Dean of the School of Instructional Support. Much to the students devastation this change is slated to take affect in the spring semester of 2010.

Hope is in my opinion, lacking in commonsense by not including the student’s in this decision. As chaffey has amazing instructors who would go out of their way for students, there are a number of really bad instructors who would just rather never face a student. As a result of this decision, I foresee a lot of student’s pleading for forgiveness or even dropping out of college all together. Ensuring the elimination of even more funding.

This blog is brought to you by the letter F and W.
